Draft Rules

The home team will be chosen with a coin toss before a match starts.  In a multiple game

    Blue Team = A; Purple Team = B

Stoppage of Play

  • A player, who experiences technical issues, may call for a game Pause. The player must be experiencing a hardware malfunction (e.g. monitor, peripheral, etc), or a physical disruption (e.g. fan interference, table or chair breakage). The player must declare the issue in public chat or to a tournament administrator and then intentionally disconnect.
  • If an unintentional disconnection occurs  –OR– a player’s client crashes or fails to load after champion selection,
then the match must be paused.

Otherwise

  • If a player intentionally disconnects without specifying a reason, then the game will continue as normal.
  • If a server crash occurs, then the tournament director or head referee will decide either between (a) restarting the game or (b) awarding the game to one of the teams. As a guideline, a game victory will only be awarded in a situation where one team was on the verge of certain defeat (e.g. A nexus was about about to be destroyed).
  • Pausing the game unintentionally is not permitted.
If done the game must be resumed
immediately and if a team does it more than once he can face disqualification form the tournament.

Unfair play

The following actions will be considered unfair play:

  • The use of any cheat program and/or map hack program.
  • An intentional disconnection without a proper and explicitly stated reason.
  • The use of any settings exceeding the standard and permitted settings.
  • Intentionally allowing an opponent to win a game.
  • Unsportsmanlike or disruptive behavior such as inappropriate and/or unprofessional actions directed towards another player or tournament official.
  • The use of a game bug that is determined by the board of referees as being unfair.
  • The use of an ineligible player (aka “ringing”) upon discovery of any player committing any violations regarded as unfair play, the offending player, at the sole discretion of the tournament director or a group of referees, may receive a warning, a forfeit loss, disqualified from the tournament. During the course of the event, the tournament director or group of referees may determine other actions to embody unfair play.

Communication during a match

First two teams from each group will head to the Gold Tournament while the last two will head to Silver Tournament. Best of 1 Series will be played throughout all group stage matches. Teams will than head to a double elimination tournament where all matches played in the Winner Bracket and Looser Bracket will be BO1 while the Semi Final and Final of both brackets will be that of a BO3 series. The Grand Final will be played in a BO5 series format, where the team coming from the Winner Bracket will start with a 1 point advantage.

Tournament Information

When a match starts from the champion select onwards no one is allowed to communicate with the 5 playing players. Should someone be caught talking to the team he or she cannot spectate the team again and if the problem persists he will be asked to leave the venue. Should a team use someone to seek information regarding the opposing team while playing, that team can be disqualified immediately. It is up to the match admins to decide and take action when such rule is breached.

Rule Changes

The Administrators reserve the right to modify the rules as needed. This includes changes due to software updates or releases, event organizer decisions and all other changes deemed necessary to run a successful tournament. Players are responsible to check the rules on a regular basis and prior to the event to ensure they are in complete compliance. Players must understand that rules listed are guidelines to ensure fair and competitive play and are subject to interpretation by the administrators based on the spirit of the game.
