WoW welcomes dungeons into esports later this month due to the upcoming Mythic Dungeon Invitational organised by Blizzard. This was announced officially by the company on the 11th July.

Mythic dungeons, for those who are not aware, are level dungeons which groups of five players need to complete together in the allotted time. In these dark places, players hope to reveal loot, keys and a better chance to climb the elusive Mythic ladder. However, this upcoming tournament won’t just have some virtual loot, but $100,000 of prize on the line.

Multiple mythic dungeoneers, they’re a thing now, will scramble from all corners of the globe in the weeks to come across the Mythic ladder to try climb as high as possible. Between July 25th and August 8th, the Proving Grounds are open for roster to accomplish the namesake of the time period. Only eight teams from each of the four regions can make it, namely the Americas, Europe, China and Asia-Pacific; selecting a total of 32 to battle it out on the main stage. The intense face-offs will be streamed on WoW’s Twitch channel.

At the moment, If you think your team has the potential, applications to be invited as one of the final 32 are still open at this link: https://mythicdungeoninvitational.wufoo.com/forms/m154hh9q1s6vx23/
