Why is Ninja Streaming on YouTube?

With Mixer crashing down around the signed streamers of "Shroud" and 'Ninja' most notably, everyone's been wondering where these two prominent personalities would find their new home - either returning to Twitch or looking elsewhere. As you probably already know, "Ninja' has finally appeared on YouTube - what we'll be discussing is if this is the right move or if it's another doomed venture for the former Halo player. 

Following a leaked test stream, Tyler "Ninja" Blevins was seemingly confirmed to be on YouTube. Together with his colleagues of Dr Lupo, Courage and TimTheTatman, Ninja hosted his livestream on Google's platform. Do note, of course, that he's had a YouTube channel for a while now where he'd post clips and montages from his stream anyways. 

Until now, it has not been made clear as to whether Ninja has signed an exclusivity contract with YouTube and won't be making a return to Twitch. 

Could Ninja find success on YouTube? 

I'd say yes, definitely. Turning down Facebook Gaming was a smart move from Ninja, as the appeal of Facebook Gaming is rather poor with the Western world despite the East avidly picking it up. YouTube, on the other hand, has a strong global appeal alongside the fact that there isn't much competition when it comes to YouTube casual livestreams. 

Ever since his first official stream, his YouTube channel has garnered over 100,000 subscribers in a single day, together with over 5 million views in the first three days. Since then, he has not committed to another live stream as the community awaits where he'll go on - my guess is that the YouTube stream was an experiment. I'd expect him to try stream one more time on Twitch and depending on which one gains better viewership, he'll make the transition. 

Meanwhile, where's Shroud? Nobody knows where this other Mixer streamer will end up as he's remained relatively quiet since. 

Anyways, in all honesty, Ninja is the type of personality who'll find success wherever he streams his content due to his loyal following.
