What to expect at E3

One of the most anticipated events for all gamers around the world is right round the corner; E3. Beginning at midday of 13th June and finishing at 5pm on the 15th June, it will take place at the LA Convention Center. However, before the official time period, many publishers will host their own major press events across the weekend prior. Gamers cannot wait for the games and consoles that await them in the months to come.

Speaking of consoles, Xbox is finally prepared to reveal a brand new console, which they’ve been hinting at for quite some time; Project Scorpio. Unfortunately, such a console became such a priority that there isn’t a single Xbox exclusive to be shown, a major blow to Xbox. Opposite to Xbox, Playstation has no console to release, already having the PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim. Handsomely compensating, Sony has prepared a delightful list of exclusives which will definitely add that little incentive to purchase their console. In the shadows of the Xbox/Playstation rivalry, is Nintendo. With the Nintendo Switch’s birth, the company will be demonstrating the capabilities of the machine along with new titles and exclusives.

Moving over to the game developer side of things, EA, after an absence in last year’s show, will show off a new FIFA for consoles, including the Switch. Also, Need for Speed is to be resurrected with a refresh while a sequel for Star Wars:Battlefront will entertain the thirst for FPS. Bethesda hasn’t been too busy, foretelling the exposure of VR adaptations of ‘Doom’ and ‘Fallout 4.’ Quake Champions will also be present. Ubisoft has many confused, with only confirmed titles of Rayman for Switch, a South Park sequel and Steep for Switch. Where is Far Cry 5? Will Assassin’s Creed be there? Questions like these are sure to be answered.  On the other hand, Activision is ready to receive all the attention, with intensely massive title such as Destiny 2, Call of Duty:WW2 and Crash Bandicoot .

A plethora of other game-developers and companies will be present, with many hidden titles and unknowns.  Rumours are endless and hopes are high, this is E3 2017.
