VR Gaming Becoming More Affordable

When VR first become possible on console and PC, the excitement of entering the new dimension became overshadowed by the demanding prices. However, we’re excited to announce that companies such as HTC, Playstation and Oculus have just made things a bit more affordable due to competition.

Starting with Playstation VR, bundles which include the console, camera, controllers and a game, are to drop by $50 as of September 1st.  Original bundles will now also include a camera unlike before while retaining the same price; pretty neat. That’s how Playstation look to persuade more customers.

Moving on to HTC’S Vive VR product, adapted for PC gaming, has managed to slice off $200 from its former $799 price tag. This was correspondent to oculus’ move to temporarily drop the Rift’s price from $499 to $399, with an emphasis on temporary.

With so many new VR titles on the way, it’s great to see manufacturers realise that they’re a little overpriced and therefore reducing the expense. If you’ve been waiting to try out VR, now is the perfect time.
