The Major Tournaments at the MCS #4
Tuesday 19th June 2018, 16:54 | written by: Gabriel SciberrasWe're ready to announce the major tournaments for the upcoming Malta Cyber Series #4 and everything concerning them; the titles, ticket pricing, times and other details - all that you need to know.
The Major tournaments are as follows: League of Legends, CS:GO and Battalion 1944 will be featured under the 'Major' category due to the immense popularity of the titles both locally and internationally - especially CS:GO. Both defusal FPS games are similar yet differing, while LoL needs no introduction as one of the best MOBAs out there.
CS:GO is probably the most intense scene at the moment. This will be our first local event for CS:GO this year since the Esportsbetting.com Launch Invitational with a staggering $10,000 prize pool was betwen 8 of the best CS:GO international teams in the world. CS:GO will bring together some old and new faces and will feature some intense matches. Battalion 1944 will also be featured in this event, following the incredible support and competition observed at the MRO: Battalion 1944 Open were at the moment, it seems that Project Eversio are the top dogs of the scene with others such as Paradigm6 and Anarchy hot on their heels - the recent roster changes have indeed shuffled the scene with the crippling of old squads and the formation of new ones. Regarding League of Legends, this will be the first event of 2018 where the local scenes may have their fresh start - undoubtedly preparing hard for this moment. There's a lot on the line at the Malta Cyber Series #4.
What makes the tournaments 'major'? First of all, the cash prizes are larger along with the competition level and the tournament structure itself.
