With less than three months to go, one the biggest esports events of the year will be taking place in Seattle USA. The International, which is DOTA 2's annual world championship has gained a lot of popularity thanks to the record-breaking prize pools it features.

Last year The International 6 gave out a staggering sum of nearly $21,000,000, becoming the biggest prize pool ever in an esports event. Seems like this year's edition is going to have another record-breaking sum with the prize pool already surpassing $20,000,000 and still having a month to go until the start of the qualifiers.

Valve has given the community the power to contribute to these prize pools using crowd funding methods. When purchasing a Battle Pass, fans gain access to various unique in-game items, skins and other features where a percentage of each sale goes to The International prize pool!
