As you may assume, the Quake World Championship 2017 has just rounded off all the action. There really isn’t much too talk about except the young competitors that shocked everyone; Nikita “Clawz” Marchinsky from Belarus. The 19-year-old from Belarus is the Quake World Champion.

From a mix of great players such as “Cooller”, “rapha” and “toxjq”, predicting the Belarus to win was definitely a longshot. However, it won’t be denied that many were aware of his promise and skill. Group stage went swimmingly for the teenager, as he danced to the top without suffering any losses at all. In the group was Sander “Vo0” Kaasjager, who’d meet the player for a second time in the grand final.

Getting to the final wasn’t an easy task, contrary to how “Clawz” made it look, beating out favourites to win the whole thing. The $1,000,000 tournament is just the beginning of a revived scene, as upset professionals will be looking to put the teenage dream in “Clawz”, back in his place throughout the remaining season.

Winning so much money doing something you love must be a dream come true for the teenage Quake star. Let’s see if he can keep it up.
