SK Gaming at the Top of the ESL PRO League Week One
Tuesday 29th August 2017, 03:38 | written by: Gabriel SciberrasCompetitive players, coaches and the community are returning to the CS:GO competitive scene as the end of the August player break draws to a halt. A week of online match-ups has summed up the first week of the North American ESL Pro League. As expected, SK Gaming sits at the top of the leader board.
This is thanks to a sum of 18 points over their eight matches, only losing a couple maps to Team Liquid and Immortals. Six wins and two losses make up their week. Trailing behind them is OpTic Gaming’s European squad, Team Liquid and CLG in that numerical order. The Greenwall is the only team with an undefeated record going into week two, standing at 4-0. However, the pressure is on their European squad who need to physically move to North America by the end of this month in order to continue competing.
On the other side of things are the disappointing performances out of Immortals and Cloud 9, resulting in a current seventh and eleventh position which will need improving as we proceed with the league. Speaking of continuing with the league; DreamHack Masters Malmo, having the exciting new coaching regulation, will be taking place between August 30th and September 3rd. An epic way to kick off Season 6.
