Recently we revealed the Major Tournaments to be featured at the Malta Cyber Series #4; including the games of League of Legends, Battalion 1944 and CS:GO. Of course, a percentage of local competitors are invested in other titles - that's where our Minor Tournaments come into play. Although they've got lesser stakes, they act as the trial grounds for new games and areas for smaller scenes to enjoy. Let's learn more.

These are the first 4 Minor Tournaments to get involved in; Rocket League, Hearthstone, DOTA 2 and Rainbow 6. The surprise is surely in Rainbow Six Siege - it being the first time we're including it in an event following the recent support of the community. We hope you make the most of it, as we'll be curious to see the response. Besides Rainbow 6, an incredibly strategic game, the other titles are rather familiar with the local scene; we expect nothing short of a great competition. Rocket League continues on its curious competitive journey through its easily understood mechanics while Hearthstone remains one of the greatest card games ever. DOTA 2 needs no introduction, as one of the world's most popular MOBAs although not so popular locally.

Apart from a different line-up of games, the Minor Tournaments also make use of a different ticketing system.

Minor Tournaments Tickets

  • Early Bird Tickets at €26 will be sold till the 29th of June or until the first 15 tickets are sold.
  • Final Batch Tickets at €31 will be sold from 30th of June until all tickets are sold.

Purchasing a single ticket provides you entitlement to Minor Tournament Games. Note that a total of 100 tickets for both Major and Minor Games will be available for purchase and once sold the event will be Sold Out.

After the outstanding turnout shown for Casual Tickets during The GO Malta eSports Festival 2017 were we literally sold 25 tickets during the first week we decided again to issue 15 tickets with the same concept. Gamers can come with their PC, Laptop or Console and spend 3 days gaming with their friends playing which ever games they like while enjoying a friendly LAN atmosphere.

Casual Tickets

  • Final Batch Tickets at €20 will be sold until all 15 tickets are sold.

Purchasing a single ticket provides you entitlement to any Casual Games you prefer to play. Note that a total of 15 tickets will be available for purchase and once sold the event will be Sold Out.

All the action will occur from the 27th to the 29th of July - from 1600 on Friday and concluding at 1900 on Sunday - when medals, trophies, and prizes will be awarded.

Still, haven't found your own tournament to get involved in? Are you looking for your own game? Don't worry, because we've more games left to reveal under the third tier of tournaments to be held at the Malta Cyber Series #4, which are sure to engage many of you! Stay tuned for more.
