MRO: Battalion 1944 Interview - Anarchy
Tuesday 17th April 2018, 06:09 | written by: Gabriel SciberrasPulling through with a first-place finish in Group B, Anarchy are perhaps a surprise at this stage. Beating out the well-established names of Ephica and Pardigm6, they only faltered once with a single loss. They're looking great in the bracket stage, and I expect them to make it to the LAN portion of the event. Like all the other teams, we interviewed their team captain of Bajju Aquilina who is captaining the squad. Let's hear his thoughts.
1.) Which was the best team you competed against during the group stage? Why?
We had some close games with all teams but Epicha managed to grab a map against us so in my opinion they where more prepared than the other 2 teams. We look forward to matching up against them in the bracket further down the line.
2.) With that being said, which player/s specifically were simply a pain to play against?
Darkiee was playing out of his mind against us so I'm inclined to pick him, a great player with a great shot.
3.) How far do you expect your team to travel in this competition? What placement are you aiming for?
When I had formed this team for specifically for Battalion 1944, earlier in the year, my main aim has always been to achieve 1st Place. Finishing lower than that is simply unacceptable - we've got a high standard which we'd like to maintain and prove.
4.) Who do you think, if not your own team, is the best team playing at this event, the team to avoid in the bracket?
As the groups have gone by, Project Eversio is a name which springs to mind. It seems that they are the team to beat, even though you have to take the results in the group stages with a pinch of salt. This is because many teams tend to save their best for later into the tournament, where the stakes escalate.
5.) Describe the level of competition you’ve been encountering across the tournament. Did you expect such a level?
Well, I was already quite familiar with many of my competitors in all of the other teams following many years of competition. Overall, I was expecting this kind of challenge, improving on that from Call of Duty 2.
6.) How has the experience been like to compete in the MRO: Battalion 1944 Open?
We as a team are enjoying our time playing in MRO and we hope the Offline event would be as smooth as the online expirence was. Content and excited to move on.
7.) The final question – do you have any suggestions you’d like to pass on the team at Gamers.com.mt for our future Battalion 1944 events to better the experience?
As I stated earlier, this event is going very well. Our team would love more of the same in the future.
It seems that Anarchy is enjoying the competition - why wouldn't they when they've been playing so well as a team? As we heard in our interview with Paradigm6, here, they were adamant about the team's preparation.
We've got two teams left to interview before the LAN event this weekend. See you there!
