Herman Miller and Logitech Create a $1,500 Gaming Chair

With a common theme of gawking at ridiculously expensive pieces of technology and fashion, such as the Samsung G9 Odyssey monitor here and the Gucci Fnatic Watch here, a new product from the combined efforts of both Logitech and Herman Miller looks to top the list with their jaw-dropping gaming chair - the Embody Gaming Chair. Read on to learn more!

First off, for those unaware, Herman Miller is an industry-leading brand with regards to the production of office furniture, home furnishing and equipment having associated themselves with esports prior to this thanks to a partnership with Complexity, forming the Herman Miller Innovation Lab. Logitech, on the other hand, is familiar with the industry and probably offered some fundamental advice. Combining these minds formed the $1,495 Embody Gaming Chair designed to be the ultimate gaming chair, determined to never let you leave your setup.

I guess you're probably still fumbling over that price, which is reasonable. Let's find out what contributes to the price then. To begin with, Herman Miller is the Apple of office hardware, if that makes any sense, offering premium products behind an equally premium brand. Otherwise, the Embody Gaming Chair seems to be the most ergonomically friendly chair ever - a total of 'seven points of calibration' exist across the back-plate for full customizability of spinal posture together with a copper-laden foram and other concepts I don't fully understand like the 'Dynamic Pixel Circulation' and 'Natural Tilting Mechanism'.

Thanks to a dynamic matrix of pixels, Embody’s seat and back surfaces automatically conform to your body’s micro-movements, distributing your weight evenly as you sit. This reduces pressure and encourages movement, both of which are key to maintaining healthy circulation and focus.

The light blue colour is definitely a nice contrast to the black of the chair which is quite characteristic of a Logitech product.

And no, due to the fact that the product is designed for a professional setting, no RGB is present.

After sitting at home for 3 months, I bet most of us have understood how important a chair in affecting how we tackle each day. Apparently, the two brands have plans for an entire line-up of desk PC products.
