Gallantry Weekly Wednesdays #1 - Recap

Gallantry Weekly Wednesdays #1 kicked off on Wednesday night having 16 teams all competiting for the number one spot. With the Majors just around the corner teams are testing their lineups in a competitive environment.

Matches kicked off  at around 7pm using a BO1 MR 15 format. Liberation was the most played map in the first round, with the biggest win going to Maltesers who managed to get a 16 to 1 score to come out victorious over PlayHard while Method also had a hefty win by defeating WeAreBest at a score of 16 to 3.

8 teams progressed to the next round where Derailed was the most picked map in Round 2. Method again dominated their opponents Precision Gaming at a score of 16 to 3. Avenue, Method, NoName and BackStreet Boiz were the 4 teams that made it to the semi-final and surprisingly enough Avenue managed to clutch a win with a 10 round difference to score a 16-6 victory over NoName in order to progress to a BO3 Final while as expected Method also cringed a 16-6 victory against BackStreet Boiz

The Grand Final which crowned the winner of the first WW#1 took place on Thursday night. Derailed and Coastal were the two played maps. The first map ended in favour of Method with 2 overtimes on Derailed giving them the lead in the BO3 final at 22 to 19. Coastal was the second map played and Method managed to win the map with a 16 to 9 score making them the champions of the first WW#1.
