Esports Events to Watch This Weekend - 25-27th May

A lot's happened this week, between the reveal of Black Ops 4, Battlefield V and our largest event ever concluding, as we featured here. One understatement is to state that organising an international event is rather stressful - what better way to recover and reduce this effect than to enjoy events organised by others? Let's go over some potential events to keep your eye out for.

ESL One Birmingham

Dota 2, fans should be delighted with the ongoing major which is acting as a preparatory event for the final event of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit. ESL One Birmingham, which will be nationally broadcasted to the Brits on BBC, will be concluding through its semi-finals and finals this weekend. This is the UK's first ever Dota Major Tournament. There has already been quite the handful of surprises and upsets, taking everyone by surprise in the earlier stages of the competition. The $1,000,000 prize pool sits in between the likes of Optic Gaming, Virtus.pro, pAIN Gaming and OG. Head on over to the stream here: http://live.esl-one.com/birmingham, if you're interested.

CS:GO StarSeries Season 5

Sadly, there are no Major events awaiting CS:GO enthusiasts this weekend. Still, if you're looking to while away some time enjoying competitive CS:GO, the incoming StarLadder event should be one to watch out for. Although it's not a major, that doesn't mean that it's a pushover either. With $300,000 on the line, the 16 teams involved are of the highest level - examples such as Team Liquid, SK Gaming and Natus Vincere will be taking part. The Ukranian event will actually be taking place early next Monday, due to the different time zones, specifically from 28th May up until the 3rd of June. The maps involved will be the seven featured on the Active Duty map pool. Mousesports are defending champions at the moment; what will the other teams have to say about this?

Unfortunately, it's one of those dry weekends for competitive events. Yet, you may easily turn a lesser weekend like this one into a great one through the services provided by TimetoEat, for quick and hot meals on the ready to your doorstep. We hope you enjoy your weekend!
