For a while now, the community has heard whispers referring to a mobile title under the IP of Crash Bandicoot, utilizing its lore and characters to generate a fun mobile experience. With a confirmed title name, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run looks to come out soon after a hinted trailer as shown below:

Until now, all we know is from the leaked adverts on Facebook back in February. The mobile game is being developed by King.com Limited, the developers of the legendary mobile title of Candy Crush Saga. With this accomplishment under their belt, hopes are high for the release of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run

Although we have a tonne of details on the upcoming sequel of About Time, which is coming to the PS5 and PS4 later on this year as a direct sequel to the previous title in the franchise. While that title is being buzzed over by fans, this mobile game is not getting much attention.

What do we know about the title?

Despite the Twitter page having pixelated icons for now, I imagine the title to follow the 'runner' format, similar to Subway Surfer where a central character can duck, jump, slide, move to the left and right in order to avoid a chasing enemy. Personally, compared to other titles in the mobile department such as Nintendo's Mario titles which may be fun but have massive sections of the game locked behind in-game transactions, I prefer this arcade approach.

Hence, I doubt that the title will be an online game such as Teamfight Tactics and moreso a time-waster for the twitchy mobile gamer.

That won't be the aim of this title, hardly, but to further raise the awareness for the title heading into the next title for the Crash Bandicoot series. With the popularity of the title, it looks to succeed too.
