2024 Summer Olympics Potentially Including eSports!

Yes, it’s a little far away, 7 years to be exact; but the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics could feature eSports.  The bit of news was extracted from the co-president of the Paris Olympics by the Associated Press. All is still to be decided.

“It's not us. It's not about Olympics. The youth, yes they are interested in eSport and this kind of thing. Let's look at it. Let's meet them. Let's try if we can find some bridges""I don't want to say 'no' from the beginning. I think it's interesting to interact with the IOC, with them, the eSports family, to better understand what the process is and why it is such a success" -Tony Estanguet, co-president of the event.

Although the event may be seven years away, the list of events is to be rounded up by 2020; much closer. As the Frenchman said himself, we’ve got to support the cause and share our enthusiasm so that hopefully we could actuate the near future of eSports. This, of course, is the establishment of equality between eSports and any other sport out there.

To note, Paris hasn’t actually been named the official host of the games yet, this should be revealed within the month. However, it’s almost certain that the capital city of France will take up the games, and maybe eSports as an event.
